Cruising Along!

Hello everyone! We had another great week here at school and we are happy to share with you what we got up to. One of our favorite songs is The Hammer Song and we sang it this week! It is fun because we get to sing and use our arms and legs too!
We love shapes! We have cool puzzles and we learn all about squares, circles, triangles and ovals. We work together with our friends to put all the shapes in the right places.
Playing and singing and dancing is fun but we need our rest too! We take a little nap each day after lunch to refresh and recharge for the afternoon.
Miss Nao comes on Wednesdays and teaches us music. This week was especially fun and we got into shaking our tambourines. Take a look!

During our center times we are sitting more and more at our work tables where we put together puzzles and crafts. Miss Chie and Mr William help us along and guide our play and fun!
Thank you for visiting our blog. Each day we sing our "Goodbye Songs". This week Leanne and Toga helped Mr William say goodbye at the end of the day. Here is our song, we hope you like it and goodbye for this week!

Start your engines! Ready, Set, Learn!

We had a lot of fun this week and we are becoming such big boys and girls together. Every morning we gather for singing and dancing. We are able to sit in a circle so well!

It is winter time so when we can go to the park we bundle up!

Everyday we take attendance. It is a great way to learn our friend's names and to keep us focused and alert.

This month our theme is vehicles. We love to make cars and trucks from our blocks and drive them around the class.

No running in the classroom right? We run and run and run in the playroom when it is too cold for the park.
Songs help us learn about ourselves and the world. This songs helps us learn about our body parts; Our hands, head, knees and
shoulders. It is fun too!

This week during center time we played with shape magnets. Big boys and girls like us can make great patterns.

We are getting good at remembering the names of all types of vehicles. We study the cards to learn the names and we make an action to show how each vehicle moves.

We hope you like our post this week. Check us out next week for more fun and learning from Abroad International School!

Infants Class February Week 1

Hello everyone and thanks for visiting. We had a great start of the month of February. Our theme is vehicles! We are learning all about them, pretending to be vehicles, learning about different kinds of vehicles and getting to know our favorites. Here is a short clip of our Vehicle Song!

We had fun at the park playing with playground balls and walking in a line with our walking rope. Check us out!

Tiya had a great kick!

Back in class, we had fun playing with toy coins. Everyone loves filling up our piggy banks!

We played with big foam letters and numbers. We fit them into the correct shape for each one.

Jo and Ria were rocking and rolling on the 10th floor. Hold on tight!

We learned about hot air balloons and we made our own finger painted versions.

A great start to the month and we have more in store next week. I will keep you posted! Goodbye for now.

A week with Infants

Hello everyone. We had another great week with lots of fun and activities. Circle time is our favorite morning activity. We let out all of our energy singing and dancing to our favorite songs. Each week we learn more and more and get better and better.

Twice a week after PE and after Music Miss Chie read us a story in Japanese! As you can see we really enjoy it.

We had an English storytime. They listened well.

This week we pretended to be doctors and nurses during center time.

At the park, we slid down the big blue slide. Everyone was super brave and eager to slide down.

We had music with Ms Nao! They had fun.

All that playing in the park makes us hungry! Time for a healthy lunch.

We had a great PE! Miss Aini had us hop over and through hula hoops like a game of hopscotch!

Leanne and Emma built a great big tower!

 Success!

We had a great month and February is coming up! We will study all kinds of vehicles. Let's say good bye with a little Twinkle Twinkle Little Star! It is a favorite song of ours.

Thanks for visiting and see you next week!

We had more fun and adventures this week at Abroad International School with our favorite students in Infants Class! We spend a lot of time outdoors. We go to Horie park almost every morning. Last week's blog featured some action at the sandbox. Check out how we play in the Jungle Gym!
We pretended it was a REAL jungle and we did a little trek through the tall grass.

Back at school we did our Animal Action Song. If you remember our theme for this month is Animals of the World. Our song helps us remember vocabulary, let's us pretend to be different animals and count to ten.
Looks like fun right?!? Sometimes we have special guests. Mr. Soydan visited us and we did some frog jumping together.

Each week we do Arts and Crafts. We made tigers and here you can watch as we draw the black stripes onto our tiger tails and bodies.

Miss Aini is our PE teacher. This week we jumped from the box, we balanced on the balance beam and crawled on the mats. Here is a short video to give you an idea of a typical lesson.

We love to pretend to be animals. It is a lot of fun, it helps us remember words and connects our studies to the outside world. Here we pretend to be snakes and slither toward the picture.

Another activity that connects us to the world around us is kitchen and food time. We can pretend to cook dinner like our moms and dads! Check out our chefs hard at work!
That is all for this week. I hope everyone enjoys our blog as much as we enjoy our life at Abroad International School. See you soon for a new post!

Infants AIS

Welcome to the first Abroad International School Infant's Class Blog. We hope this blog adds insight into our classroom and gives everyone the chance to experience a day in the life of an Infant student at AIS in 2020!

On our way to Horie Park with our guiding rope and our baby buggy!
We love the park! In the sandbox we use our imagination to create our own world.

During Center Time we learn as we play! With gentle guidance from our teachers center based learning enables us to use our resources to develop our motor skills, critical thinking and to cooperate with our friends.

Miss Nao is our music teacher! We love to join in on her songs, dances and musical games!

We like a good story and Mr. William brings the words and pictures
to life! We love to join in when we know the words, sounds and
actions. It makes the story more fun. Our theme this month is Animals of the World! Our story here is all about butterflies.

Miss Chie reads a story in Japanese. We love learning in different languages and we love learning about life and culture from all corners of the world.

Miss Aini is our PE teacher. She is helping us to run, jump, crawl and move around. We have lots of energy and PE is our chance to show off our skills and to take on our next big challenge.

Thanks for visiting and see you next week!
